The 2018/19 vintage was a true winemaker’s challenge, marked by a cool, wet winter that led to late and unpredictable flowering. Our vineyard team navigated these unusual weather patterns with remarkable foresight, resulting in a cooler vintage that produced wines of exceptional elegance and complexity. This wine boasts a dark ruby core with a garnet edge and is crafted from handpicked Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, all co-fermented in open-top fermenters and aged for 24 months in 30% new French oak barrels. With its full, balanced structure, it promises excellent ageing potential for up to a decade. Perfectly paired with Beef Wellington, a winter daube de boeuf, or barbequed leg of Karoo lamb, this wine elevates every meal with its sophisticated charm. Bottled on August 13, 2021, it stands as a testament to dedication and craftsmanship.
Tasting Notes:

- Palate: Soft, voluptuous integrated tannins with a rich creamy cassis freshness and black cherry fruits. Silky smooth mid-palate with a finish which is full of dark fruit and long lingering flavours. Great tension and balance!
