Holden Manz Proprietors' Red Blend

This wine is dark ruby with varieties handpicked and sorted, using only optimally ripe berries. Syrah was picked on 29 March 2016 and Cabernet Sauvignon on 7 April 2016, with bottling on 13 February 2019. Selected vineyard blocks were used for the Proprietors’ Blend. All grapes were wild fermented, with 15% barrel-fermented in new wood. Limited production with excellent ageing potential of over 10 years.

• Taste: Intense aromas of cassis, pencil shavings, blueberry, and hibiscus fill the nose, with alluring raspberry and cedar wood notes. The palate is soft and voluptuous, with rich, creamy cassis freshness. The mid-palate is broad and silky smooth, leading to a long finish filled with red fruits, black peppercorns, nutmeg, and lingering flavours. 
  
• Food Pairings: Rump of venison with red berries or magret de canard with honey and lavender sauce.
• ABV: 14.5%
